I had previously named this plant as Callisia repens (Turtle Vine, Inch Plant) until someone wrote to me in February 2019 indicating it to be Belosynapsis ciliate (synonym of Cyanotis ciliata) instead. From the Flora of China website, I got to know that Belosynapsis ciliate had flower with pink-purple petals. From the same Flora of China website, Callisia repens was described to be having flower with white petals. The plant in my pictures clearly did not have white flowers.
There was no record of Belosynapsis ciliate in the 2009 Singapore Flora Checklist while Callisia repens was listed. Nothing in the latest 2022 Singapore Flora Checklist as well. In the NParks Flora & Fauna Web, there were 2 pictures listed as Callisia repens but no picture of its flower was shown.
